New Quaker Voice Lobbyist
We are pleased to announce that Lonnie Johns-Brown will join Quaker Voice as Legislative Advocate effective September 1. Ms. Johns-Brown has thirty years of experience as a lobbyist in Olympia. She has represented groups like the League of Women Voters, Resolution Washington, the Washington Association for the Education of Young Children, and more than a dozen others. Leading and participating in a variety of coalitions and stakeholder groups, she has forged relationships with staff and legislators across the political spectrum.
Her six years with the Office of the Insurance Commissioner as their Legislative Director helped her understand better how state agencies operate and relate to stakeholders. We are delighted that she will be putting her experience to work on behalf of Quaker Voice on Washington Public Policy, which she sees as “a much needed ethical and compassionate voice in our state’s legislative process.”
We thank Noah Martin for his five years of excellent service as lobbyist and wish him well in his new job.
