Most bills still under consideration by the 2014 state legislature must be voted on by the end of this week to become law this year. If you have not yet sent your legislators an email, or called their offices, this is your last chance this session. Encourage action on the bills described under the Bill Tracker tab and in the attached report(or discourage action, as appropriate). If you have previously sent an email, send another. Thank your senator or representatives for action requested in your previous email, and ask that they take additional actions as needed and described on the attached Workplan Update. How to contact your legislators The following link makes it easy to access your legislators’ names and email addresses: http://app.leg.wa.gov/DistrictFinder/ . Just input your home address and then click on your legislator’s name when it pops up. Beneath her Fax number (which is to the right of the picture that appears when you click on her name) is a link that says “E-Mail”. Click on it, fill in the blanks, and click “Send” or If you know your legislators’ names, send an email addressed to: (Example: Rep. Frank Chopp’s address is ). You can also leave a phone message for your legislators using the Legislative Hotline at 1-800-562-6000 (staff will identify your legislative district and find your legislators’ names).
