Tuesday evening, January 23, 6:30 pm, online, was an optional orientation for new attenders included a rehearsal for a Quaker Voice lobby visit, a question-and-answer on the priority bills, and an introduction to where Quaker Voice intervenes as our priority bills move through the legislature.
Thursday morning, January 25, 10 am to noon, both in person in Olympia and online:
First was a full briefing which provided an overview of the session by our lobbyists and a presentation of the priority bills by the working groups, including where each bill stands in the legislative process. The in-person gathering was at Olympia Friends Meeting, 3201 Boston Harbor Rd NE, Olympia, WA 98506. Please note that masks are required indoors at Olympia Meeting except when eating.
- 10:00-10:05 — Welcome. Susan Cozzens, Quaker Voice Clerk.
- 10:05-10:30 — Session highlights, Paul Benz and Jacob Squirrel, Quaker Voice Legislative Advocates.
- 10:30-11:00 — Criminal Justice working group priorities.
- 11:00-11:30 — Economic Justice working group priorities.
- 11:30-noon — Environmental Stewardship working group priorities.
- Noon-1 pm — Lunch provided by Olympia Meeting. Quaker Voice thanks Olympia Meeting!
Thursday afternoon, January 25, 1 pm onwards — Constituent meetings at the Capitol and online.
- Each district has a legislative lead who is making appointments. (Use Find Your District at leg.wa.gov if you need to find the number for your district.)
- Your district lead’s contact information is available here. They will send you information on the schedule of meetings for your district. Contact them with questions on the legislator meetings.

Friday, January 26, 3 pm, on Zoom — an Share What We Learned debrief and evaluation session. This was open to everyone. We hoped that each district delegation would send at least one person.
